Mission

The mission of Leadership Jackson County is to build a better community, train emerging leaders, create community awareness and inspire participants to exercise real leadership committed to serving the common good.

What is Leadership Jackson County

For 21 years, the Jackson County and Ocean Springs Chambers of Commerce have offered Leadership Jackson County. Together with an expansive network of distinguished alumni, Leadership Jackson County continues a proud tradition of connecting and inspiring leaders to strengthen Jackson County. The core of Leadership Jackson County is a signature 9 month program for professionals offering an intensive look into community awareness and leadership skill building. It begins with a two day retreat in January, and it is followed by one day sessions each month February through September. The program features prominent and stimulating panelists who encourage discussion and participation at each day program. Sessions focus on fundamental leadership principles while examining leadership roles in politics, economic affairs and the community. Since 1989, Leadership Jackson County has graduated over 510 community leaders.
